PCB Shares Crucial Update on Haris Rauf’s Injury

The management of Pakistan National Team has opted to rest fast bowler, Haris Rauf for the upcoming Tri-Nation ODI match against South Africa.

Haris Rauf sustained a side strain during the previous game against New Zealand and will not be risked for the crucial encounter in Karachi on February 12.

Although The right-arm fast bowler is reportedly feeling better, the management is prioritizing his recovery ahead of the must-win fixture.

A final decision regarding of the participation 31-year-old pacer in the remainder of the series will be made after reviewing his MRI scan results.

Haris was forced to leave the field midway through first innings in the opening match, having bowled 6.2 overs and conceding just 23 runs while picking up a wicket.

His absence weakened bowling attack, which struggled in the final overs, with Glenn Phillips capitalizing to propel New Zealand to a commanding total.

The Green Shirts lost the first game by 78 runs against KIWIs, with the batting department struggling on the batting-friendly surface.

The Rizwan-lead will lock horns against South Africa in the much win game on February 12 at National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi.
