The National Stadium in Karachi is all set to welcome international cricket once again as it completes its renovation ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi personally supervised the refurbishment, which was completed in a record 120 days.

The stadium will be officially inaugurated tomorrow with a grand ceremony featuring performances by Ali Zafar, Shafqat Amanat Ali, and Sahir Ali Bagga.

Sources also revealed that a fireworks display and light show will also mark the occasion, with free entry for the cricket fans.

Speaking to the media, the PCB chairman said, “Renovation work started on 28 September and, by the grace of God, concluded on 31 January.”

Naqvi highlighted key upgrades, including the complete reconstruction of the pavilion, installation of new seating, and modern LED lighting.

The venue now features an advanced scoreboard, improved hospitality boxes, and better accessibility with a new pedestrian bridge.

Fences around the stadium have been removed to enhance the viewing experience, while facilities for players and fans have been upgraded to international standards.

Naqvi praised the efforts of the workers, FWO, Nespak, and contractors for their dedication, ensuring the stadium is ready to host global cricketing action
