The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has scheduled an exhibition match at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium ahead of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, bringing back high-level cricket to Peshawar.
Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators will compete on April 8, 2025, in a contest seen as a crucial step in reintroducing PSL action to the city.
Preparations at the stadium are expected to be finalized before the match, ensuring the venue is fully ready.
This initiative is part of PCB’s broader strategy to expand cricket across Pakistan and re-engage fans in regions that have missed out on live PSL matches.
A similar exhibition game was previously held in Quetta before PSL 8, generating significant enthusiasm.
Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi has actively pushed for PSL matches in Peshawar.
He previously met PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, emphasizing the importance of including Arbab Niaz Stadium as a PSL venue.
Meanwhile, the main tournament will kick off on April 11, 2025, with defending champions Islamabad United facing Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi.
PSL 10 will feature 34 matches, concluding with the final in Lahore on May 18.
