The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that Pakistan will host the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Qualifiers from April 9 to 19.
Lahore will serve as the tournament’s central hub, with all 15 matches taking place at Gaddafi Stadium and Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) Stadium.
Six teams will compete for the final two spots in the Women’s Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be held in India in October and November.
The participating teams include four ICC full members—Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Ireland—along with Scotland and Thailand, who secured qualification based on the ICC Women’s ODI Rankings as of October 28, 2024.
The ICC confirmed that the top six teams from the ICC Women’s Championship (2023-25) have already qualified for the main event.
The upcoming qualifier will finalize the last two teams advancing to the World Cup.
ICC CEO Geoff Allardice highlighted the tournament’s significance, noting that all six teams are just one step away from securing their place in the prestigious competition.
He expressed optimism for a thrilling contest and extended his best wishes to all participating teams.
The tournament will kick off with a double-header, featuring Pakistan against Ireland at Gaddafi Stadium and West Indies facing Scotland at LCCA.
Other key fixtures include Pakistan’s matches against West Indies on April 14 and Bangladesh on April 19.
