Pakistan romped to a nine-wicket victory over New Zealand in the third T20I of their five-match series at Eden Park.

Chasing a hefty target of 205, Pakistan comfortably reached the target with four overs to spare, losing just one wicket.

The chase was off to a rapid start as opening pair Mohammad Haris and Hasan Nawaz put on 74 runs before Haris fell in the final over of the powerplay, scoring 41 off just 20 balls.

After Haris’ dismissal, captain Salman Ali Agha joined Nawaz, and together they guided Pakistan to victory with an unbroken 133-run stand.

Earlier, New Zealand struggled after being put in to bat. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf reduced the hosts to 40/2, with Rauf dismissing Tim Seifert early.

Mark Chapman then played a blistering knock, scoring 94 off 44 balls, but his dismissal left New Zealand reeling at 141/5.

Abrar Ahmed’s twin dismissals in consecutive balls further weakened their innings.

Despite a late fightback from Michael Bracewell, who scored 31 off 18 balls, Pakistan’s bowlers kept New Zealand in check.

Rauf was the standout bowler, taking 3/29, while Shaheen Afridi and Abrar Ahmed picked up two wickets each.
