However, a recent dip in form has forced the right-handed batter to relinquish captaincy, and now his selection is being questioned.
Recently, while purchasing tickets for ICC Champions Trophy matches in Lahore, one of his fans urged the Lahore-born batter to showcase his talent once again.
In a video that went viral on social media, a cricket fan pleaded with Babar, saying, “Babar Bhai, please, please ab to perform kar ke dikhao humein.”
It is worth noting that the stylish batter is part of the squad for the upcoming Tri-Series against South Africa and New Zealand, as well as the Champions Trophy.
Babar Azam was also a key part of Pakistan’s victorious 2017 Champions Trophy campaign, where they defeated arch-rivals India in the final in England.
