BCCI Allows Indian Players’ Families for One Match at Champions Trophy 2025

The Indian cricket team has arrived in Dubai to begin preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, starting tomorrow.

The arrival of team follows a challenging tour of Australia, where India suffered a 3-1 series defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

The loss triggered scrutiny back home, prompting the BCCI to introduce a ten-point policy aimed at improving team management.

The BCCI initially barred families of players from traveling for the event but is reportedly reconsidering the rule.

Discussions are ongoing, and players may be allowed to have family members attend one match, provided they seek prior approval.

India will play all their matches in Dubai under a ‘hybrid model’ agreed upon by the BCCI, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and ICC.

This arrangement ensures the Men in Blue will remain in the UAE regardless of their progress, unlike other teams.

The tournament opens with hosts Pakistan facing New Zealand at the National Cricket Stadium in Karachi.

India will open against Bangladesh on February 20, followed by a high-profile clash with Pakistan on February 23 in Dubai.
