Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider has announced that he will sponsor the weddings of nine girls whose dowries were washed away in the recent floods at Lahore’s Theme Park. His support has brought relief and hope to families struggling to rebuild their lives after the disaster.

During his visit to the affected area, the Governor assured families that regular meals would be provided to them. He also announced that Red Crescent medical camps would be set up to address health needs, while tents would be arranged to give temporary shelter to those displaced by the floods.
Local residents shared their hardships and personal stories with the Governor during the visit. National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq also praised the relief efforts, highlighting the teamwork of federal and provincial institutions along with the Pakistan Army.
He said that such joint efforts are helping communities recover and giving them much-needed support during this difficult time.

The Governor further emphasized that the provincial government is committed to standing with flood-affected families until their lives return to normal. He assured that more long-term measures, including financial assistance and rehabilitation programs, would soon be introduced to help restore stability and rebuild the confidence of the affected communities.
