4.8 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and AJK—No Damage Reported

Residents in Zhob and nearby areas of Balochistan experienced tremors after an earthquake struck the region.

The Seismological Center reported that the quake measured 4.0 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 22 kilometers.

The details show that the epicenter earthquake was pinpointed 12 kilometers west of Zhob.

Frightened by the sudden jolts, people immediately fled their homes and workplaces to escape any untoward incident.

However, local authorities in the district confirmed that no injuries or property damage had been reported.

In a separate incident, tremors were also felt earlier in Qalat and adjoining areas.

The Seismological Center stated that this earthquake had a magnitude of 4.6, with its epicenter situated 40 kilometers southwest of Qalat.

The back-to-back tremors have left residents on edge, though officials have urged the public to remain calm.

Emergency teams remain on standby as precautionary measures in case of aftershocks.
