Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt has once again found himself at the center of controversy—this time for using a wheelchair during his Umrah pilgrimage. Already facing severe backlash over his perfume brand “295,” Butt is now being criticised for allegedly misusing wheelchair services meant for the elderly and disabled at Safa and Marwah.

A video circulating online shows Butt and his companions being pushed in wheelchairs by staff members while performing Sayi (the ritual walk between Safa and Marwah). This has sparked outrage among social media users, who questioned why a seemingly fit and healthy individual was utilizing a service designated for those in need.

Rajab Butt Comes Under Fire For Using Wheelchair During Umrah

Butt is currently in Saudi Arabia alongside fellow influencers Haider Shah, Shahbaz Bukhari, and Man Dogar. However, his religious journey has been overshadowed by the ongoing blasphemy and cybercrime case filed against him in Pakistan.

Rajab Butt, who has amassed millions of followers, stirred controversy after launching his perfume “295”, a reference to Pakistan’s blasphemy laws. Many accused him of mocking religious sentiments, leading to a First Information Report (FIR) under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and Section 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Rajab Butt’s Apology from Masjid al-Haram

Amid mounting pressure, Butt issued a public apology from Masjid al-Haram, the holiest site in Islam. Dressed in Ihram, he recorded a video stating that he had no ill intentions and that the controversy stemmed from a misunderstanding rather than malice. He swore by Allah, urging people to “cleanse their hearts” toward him and called on authorities to reconsider the charges against him.
