Islamabad Police have arrested the prime suspect in the murder of young TikToker Sana Yousaf, who was tragically shot dead at her residence in Sector G-13. The arrest was made during a late-night operation after authorities traced the accused with the help of technical tools and CCTV footage, police sources confirmed on Monday.
The suspect, a resident of Punjab, had prior contact with the victim, suggesting a personal connection that eventually led to a deadly confrontation. Initial investigations indicate that the motive behind the killing was a personal grudge.

According to officials, the accused had visited Sana Yousaf at her home, where the incident took place. After allegedly committing the murder, the suspect fled the scene. Police launched a swift manhunt and have now recovered the murder weapon from the suspect’s possession.
The case was initially registered at Sumbal Police Station on the complaint of Sana’s mother, with an FIR lodged against an unknown individual. However, following a detailed review of surveillance footage from the crime scene, along with Safe City cameras and Expressway checkpoints, law enforcement was able to trace the suspect’s movements before and after the crime.
The body of Sana Yousaf, who hailed from Upper Chitral, has been shifted to her native town for burial. The postmortem was conducted at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing, with a wider scope being explored to determine any further details about the relationship between the victim and the accused.
Sana Yousaf had been an emerging content creator on TikTok, and her untimely death has sparked widespread outrage and grief on social media.
