The Sindh government has started consultations with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) to launch O and A-Level programs in public schools across the province. Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah met with a CAIE delegation led by Uzma Yousuf, along with senior education officials, to discuss curriculum reforms, teacher training, and assessment improvements.

The minister announced that at least one school in every district will offer O and A-Level classes, with the government subsidizing registration and exam fees to ensure affordability. He said the aim is to give public school students access to international-standard education without financial barriers.
CAIE’s country director emphasized that success would depend on strong teacher training and reforms at the foundational level. She assured CAIE’s full support for building capacity and strengthening early learning systems, adding that sustainable teacher development is key to long term improvement in education.
