Pakistan’s motorcycle and rickshaw market saw a significant recovery last month, with overall sales increasing by more than 50% year-on-year, according to the latest data from PAMA.
This rebound signals growing public confidence and rising demand for low-cost transport options, driven by improved economic conditions, stable fuel prices, and better access to financing.
Leading the two-wheeler segment, Honda sold 115,286 units, maintaining its dominant position. United Motors followed in second place, showing remarkable performance with a 234% increase, selling 13,608 units compared to 4,072 in the same period last year.

Among rickshaw manufacturers, Sazgar led the three-wheeler category with 2,435 units, followed by Qingqi with 1,340 units.
Experts say this growth also reflects the government’s continued push for local manufacturing and the shift towards affordable urban mobility, including both petrol and electric vehicles. The rise in last-mile delivery services and urban commuting needs has further driven demand.
Although high inflation has limited overall auto sector growth, the two- and three-wheeler market seems to be bouncing back faster than expected.
