The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Tuesday that two more brave soldiers have embraced martyrdom after succumbing to injuries sustained during Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, Pakistan’s defensive military response to recent Indian aggression.

This brings the total number of martyred personnel in the operation to 13, while 78 military personnel have been reported injured so far.

Among the latest martyrs is Havaldar Muhammad Naveed of the Pakistan Army, and Senior Technician Muhammad Ayaz of the Pakistan Air Force, who had been under critical care before succumbing to his wounds.

In its official statement, the ISPR honored the fallen as symbols of unmatched courage, selflessness, and patriotism.

“The sacrifices of our heroes are eternal. They stand as a testament to our nation’s resilience and unity,” said the ISPR.

The statement further noted that the armed forces and the people of Pakistan stand united in offering their deepest condolences to the bereaved families, while vowing that the nation will never forget its martyrs.

Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos was launched in response to unprovoked Indian shelling across the Line of Control on May 6 and 7, during which Pakistani military and civilians sustained significant losses.
