Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar announced that Pakistan has given a powerful and proportionate response to India’s cowardly cross-border aggression, targeting only military assets while adhering strictly to international laws of warfare.

Speaking during a press briefing from the control room on Wednesday morning, Tarar confirmed that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down five Indian aircraft, including a drone, and destroyed multiple military posts along the Line of Control (LoC).
“In the darkness of night, the enemy targeted innocent civilians — mosques, madrasas, and residential areas,” Tarar said. “But our response was measured, precise, and confined to military targets.”
According to the minister, the Indian Army was compelled to raise the white flag at several forward posts, notably at the Chora Complex, signaling retreat and military defeat.
“Even Indian media is showing the wreckage of their aircraft. The truth can no longer be denied,” Tarar stated.

Tarar also revealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was actively monitoring the situation throughout the night and received real-time updates from the military leadership. In response to the developments, the PM has called a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday to assess strategic and diplomatic steps.
Highlighting the unity and resilience of the nation, the minister praised the role of the Pakistani people in standing behind the armed forces.
“The prayers and support of our nation gave our army, navy, and air force the morale to dominate the enemy,” he said.
Tarar also rejected India’s allegations regarding Pakistan’s involvement in the Pahalgam incident, stating that India has failed to produce any credible evidence.
“India’s narrative has collapsed. The world sees the difference between truth and propaganda,” he emphasized.

Minister Tarar concluded by underlining Pakistan’s adherence to the etiquette of war, noting that while restraint was shown where necessary, a decisive and lawful response was delivered where required.
“India not only failed militarily but was forced to raise the white flag — a public humiliation before the world.”
