The British Council has announced the cancellation of all board examinations scheduled for today in Lahore due to escalating security concerns. The decision prioritizes the safety and well-being of candidates, as confirmed by their official statement.

This move contrasts with yesterday’s declaration, when the British Council Pakistan had affirmed that all exams would proceed as scheduled, despite the ongoing military tensions between Pakistan and India. In an earlier statement posted on Facebook, the Council had assured candidates, saying, “All exams scheduled for today will proceed as planned. We will keep you updated if there are any changes.”

Students were earlier instructed to reach out to their respective schools or the Customer Services Centre (for private candidates) for any exam-related inquiries. As of now, the British Council has not provided details regarding the rescheduling of the cancelled examinations.
