Washington: Concerns about former U.S. President Donald Trump’s health surfaced after the White House issued an official statement regarding visible signs of swelling and bruising on his body.
According to White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, recent medical assessments of President Trump revealed swelling in the lower parts of his legs and bruising on the backs of his hands. These symptoms, she said, are consistent with vascular weakness, commonly observed in individuals over the age of 70.

Leavitt explained that the slight bruising seen in recent photos of Trump’s hands likely resulted from frequent handshakes and the use of aspirin, which can cause irritation to skin tissues, especially in elderly individuals. Aspirin, a blood-thinning medication used to prevent heart disease, is a regular part of Trump’s daily medical regimen.
The White House emphasized that while the symptoms are being monitored, they are not currently considered serious. However, the statement has reignited public and media interest in the former president’s health status as he remains active in the political arena.
