PIA Offers Discount on Paris Flights

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a 25% discount on tickets for flights from Paris to Pakistan. Bookings are open until August 31, 2025, for travel between August 25 and September 28. The discount also applies to connecting routes with Air France across Europe and the UK.

PIA confirmed that its Lahore–Paris service will be discontinued due to low demand, with final flights scheduled for September 12 and 17. The Islamabad–Paris route will continue to operate.

In other developments, PIA launched direct flights from Lahore to Baku, Azerbaijan, to expand international routes and promote tourism. Flight PK-159 departed Lahore with 152 passengers, marked by a brief ceremony attended by Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Khazar Farhadov, and senior aviation officials.

Asif highlighted that this route is part of PIA’s strategy to broaden its network and strengthen ties with Azerbaijan. He noted that the airline is recovering under reforms initiated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. PIA also reported its first annual profit in 21 years, with earnings per share of Rs5.01 for 2023.
