Pakistan has condemned and rejected recent remarks by Israeli authorities promoting the idea of a so-called “Greater Israel” and advocating the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Foreign Office described the comments as a clear breach of international law, the UN Charter, and relevant United Nations resolutions. It said the proposals were provocative, unlawful, and aimed at legitimising Israel’s occupation while eroding the chances of a lasting settlement in the region.

The spokesperson warned that such statements reflected Israel’s disregard for international mediation efforts and indicated its willingness to further destabilise the situation. He urged the global community to unequivocally oppose these notions and take decisive measures to halt what he described as Israel’s continuing “crimes and atrocities” against Palestinians.

Reiterating Islamabad’s position, the spokesperson said Pakistan remains steadfast in its support for the Palestinian struggle and their right to self-determination. He emphasised that Pakistan backs the creation of an independent, sustainable, and contiguous Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

Pakistan has consistently voiced opposition to Israeli policies in occupied territories and called for stronger international action. Friday’s statement comes amid renewed tensions in Gaza and growing international criticism of Israel’s military actions and settlement expansion.

The Foreign Office also underscored that peace and stability in the Middle East cannot be achieved without addressing the root causes of the conflict, which include the occupation and denial of Palestinian rights.
