King Salman Calls for Salat Al Istisqa Amid Drought

Across Saudi Arabia, thousands of worshippers gathered today to offer Salat Al Istisqa a special prayer for rain following the royal decree of King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The prayer was held in mosques and open grounds across the country as citizens and foreign Muslims came together to ask for Allah’s mercy and relief from the ongoing drought.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Religious Affairs, the prayer was performed about fifteen minutes after sunrise. It was attended by a large number of people, including government officials, scholars, and residents from various nationalities living in the Kingdom.

More than 12,000 mosques throughout Saudi Arabia hosted the prayer gatherings, where worshippers raised their hands in sincere supplication, seeking forgiveness and blessings. The atmosphere was filled with emotion, humility, and unity as people prayed for rain to refresh the dry lands and bring relief to farmers and families affected by the drought.

The tradition of Namaz-e-Istasqa has deep roots in Islamic history, reminding believers to turn to Allah during times of hardship.

May Allah accept the prayers of His people and shower His mercy and rain upon the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing hope, prosperity, and blessings to the land once again.
