Brazilian football player Kathleen Souza has shared an important and emotional moment from her life. The 29 year old athlete recently converted to Islam and travelled to Mecca to perform Umrah.

Kathleen, who plays for Al-Nassr Women, posted pictures from her Umrah journey on social media. In the photos, she can be seen visiting the holy sites and taking part in the rituals. She wrote that she is taking small steps, searching for the right path, and feeling thankful for the gift of life.

Umrah is a special religious pilgrimage that Muslims perform in Mecca. It is a spiritual journey that brings peace and closeness to God. Kathleen’s photos showed her calm and emotional during this important experience.

Earlier, Al-Nassr Women shared a video announcing her conversion to Islam. In the video, Kathleen became emotional and said she was simply trying to find the right path and become the best version of herself.

Kathleen was born in São Vicente, Brazil, and began playing football at a young age. She once played for Santos FC’s youth team before continuing her studies and football career in the United States. In August 2024, she joined Al-Nassr Women in Saudi Arabia.

She is also part of the Brazil women’s national football team and was recently named Player of the Month at her club. Her journey, both personal and professional, has inspired many fans around the world.
