Dubai police recovered a rare pink diamond worth $25 million and arrested three suspects within just eight hours of the theft, officials confirmed on Monday.
According to a statement released by the Dubai Police General Command and carried by the UAE’s state news agency WAM, the thieves, three men from an unspecified Asian country, were apprehended through the coordinated efforts of specialized field teams and the use of advanced artificial intelligence technologies.

The incident began when a European diamond trader, who had brought the rare gem to Dubai, was deceived into visiting a villa under the pretense of showing the diamond to a wealthy client. Once inside, the jewel was stolen during the staged inspection.
Police launched an immediate operation, and within hours, the suspects were tracked and arrested. The stolen diamond was successfully recovered.

Video footage released by the Dubai Media Office showed the suspects with blurred faces following their arrest, along with CCTV clips capturing the gang’s movements.
