The All Pakistan China Enterprises Association and Pakistan China Institute jointly launched a comprehensive report titled ‘Ten Years of China Pakistan Economic Corridor,’ shining a spotlight on a decade of remarkable collaboration between China and Pakistan under the CPEC framework. This report is a testament to the numerous billion-dollar development projects that have reached fruition across diverse sectors during this significant timeframe.

The report delves into the multifaceted aspects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, with a particular emphasis on the far-reaching impacts it has had on the socio-economic landscape of Pakistan. The CPEC has not only been a bridge for economic growth but has also been a catalyst for positive change in the lives of the Pakistani people.

Speaking at the event, Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, pledged his ministry’s unwavering support in fostering stronger ties with Chinese enterprises. He expressed a commitment to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation, as well as to explore areas of shared interest between the two nations.

Mr. Solangi noted that the Ministry of Information and its affiliated agencies, including PTV, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, and Associated Press of Pakistan, have already established structured collaborations with their Chinese counterparts to promote media cooperation.

Highlighting the resilience and professionalism of Chinese enterprises, the Information Minister acknowledged their dedication during the challenges posed by the global pandemic. He further highlighted the mutual commitment to the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership, which was reaffirmed during a recent visit by the caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar to China.

The visit resulted in the signing of twenty Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), protocols, and agreements that cover a wide spectrum of cooperation areas, including infrastructure development, mining, industry, green initiatives, health, space collaboration, digital economy, and more.

In his address, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed emphasized China’s remarkable record of delivering on its plans, with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor standing as a testament to this track record. Senator Syed stressed the importance of showcasing the CPEC’s positive contributions in transforming the lives of the people it serves.

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, reiterated China’s unwavering commitment to continued cooperation with Pakistan for the high-quality development of CPEC projects. He outlined future plans to extend cooperation in the energy sector, with a specific focus on hydropower and solar energy in the next phase of the CPEC initiative.

The ‘Ten Years of China Pakistan Economic Corridor’ report launch signifies a decade of successful partnership between China and Pakistan. It reflects the tireless efforts of both nations in building a stronger, more prosperous future and leaves a promising legacy for the years to come.
