inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, has announced a special relief initiative for its driver community in Karachi, following the recent spell of heavy rains that disrupted daily life across the city.
From Friday, August 29 2025, through Sunday, August 31 2025, the company has reduced its ride commission to 0.05%, allowing drivers to retain their full earnings during this challenging period.
The move aims to help drivers recover income lost due to reduced ride demand and mobility challenges caused by the rain spells. By waiving its service commission, inDrive ensures that drivers who continue to keep Karachi moving can take home every rupee they earn.
“Karachi’s drivers are the backbone of our platform, and their resilience in difficult circumstances inspires us every day,” said Awais Saeed, Country Head of inDrive Pakistan. “By removing our commission for the weekend, we want to show our solidarity and give them tangible support at a time when they need it most.”
inDrive’s initiative underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to fairness, community support, and people-first values. The platform, which operates on a unique peer-to-peer pricing model, has consistently prioritised both drivers and passengers in its approach to urban mobility.
This relief step in Karachi builds on inDrive’s broader mission of empowering local communities and ensuring fair, transparent, and sustainable solutions in mobility services.
