Google Opens Local Office and Chromebook Line in Pakistan

Google has officially opened its local office in Pakistan, marking a major milestone for the country’s growing digital landscape. This step is more than just symbolic it’s a proud moment for Pakistan and a big move toward a stronger, tech-driven future.

The company’s presence in Pakistan will make it easier for local startups, students, and entrepreneurs to connect directly with Google. It will also help in training, skill development, and access to global digital platforms, giving the youth more opportunities to grow in the tech world.

Adding to the excitement, Pakistan has also launched its first Google Chromebook assembly line at the National Radio & Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The project was officially inaugurated on November 4, 2025, by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

This initiative is a joint collaboration between Google for Education’s local partner Tech Valley Pakistan, Australian manufacturer Allied, and NRTC. Together, they aim to make Chromebooks more accessible to Pakistani schools and educational institutions, helping promote digital learning across the country.
