Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s left-arm pacer Yash Dayal is now facing fresh legal trouble after being accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

This is the second such case against the 27-year-old cricketer, further complicating his ongoing legal challenges.

Police in Jaipur confirmed that a new FIR has been registered at Sanganer Police Station under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Dayal has been accused of sexually abusing a teenage girl over two years, allegedly by promising her help with a cricket career. According to the complaint, the first incident occurred when the girl was 17, and took place at a hotel in Sitapura.

The minor reportedly told police that Dayal used emotional pressure and repeated false promises to exploit her. Authorities are treating the case as serious due to the victim’s age and the duration of the alleged abuse.

This follows an earlier case filed against Dayal in Ghaziabad, where he was accused of deceiving a woman with a false promise of marriage. The complaint, registered on July 6, was initially filed via the chief minister’s grievance platform and later converted into an FIR under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The Allahabad High Court recently granted Dayal temporary protection from arrest in the first case. The court also asked the complainant to respond and sought a detailed reply from the government counsel.

Dayal’s lawyer claimed that the charges lacked merit, arguing that false promise of marriage must be proven to prosecute under BNS. However, with two cases now active, the player’s legal future looks increasingly uncertain.
