Watch: Pakistani Batting Great Clinches Another ICC Accolade

Babar Azam has been honored with the ICC T20I Team of the Year cap for 2024, marking another milestone in his distinguished career.

The consistency of Right-hander have earned him a spot among the elite, with the ICC recognizing his outstanding performances over the past year.

A video shared by the ICC on Instagram showed Babar receiving the cap, with the caption noting it was a “perfect fit” for the former Pakistan captain.

Babar Azam began the year in style with three successive half-centuries against New Zealand, setting the tone for a remarkable campaign.

The former captain amassed 738 runs across 24 T20I matches, averaging 33.54, with six fifties and a highest score of 75.

It is worth noting the Lahore-born cricketer is the only Pakistani cricketer included in the lineup of the year 2024.

Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma leads the side, joined by teammates Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Arshdeep Singh.

Travis Head, Phil Salt, Nicholas Pooran, Sikandar Raza, Rashid Khan, and Wanindu Hasaranga complete the eleven.
