Karachi Kings have suffered an early setback in their Pakistan Super League 2025 campaign, as top-order batter Litton Das has been ruled out of the tournament with a finger injury.
The Bangladeshi cricketer confirmed his withdrawal through a statement on social media, expressing disappointment over missing the event.
Litton was signed by the Karachi franchise during the recent PSL draft and had already joined the squad for pre-season training.
However, during one of the practice sessions, the right-handed batter injured his finger. Medical scans later confirmed a hairline fracture, sidelining him for at least two weeks.

Following the diagnosis, Litton returned to Bangladesh and will not be available for the remainder of the tournament.
In his statement, he shared his regret over not being able to represent Karachi Kings and mentioned that he was eagerly looking forward to his PSL debut.
While disappointed, he thanked fans for their support, asked for prayers for a quick recovery, and extended his best wishes to the team.
The injury comes at a crucial time for Karachi Kings, who are aiming to bounce back after a string of underwhelming seasons.

Litton’s absence leaves a gap at the top of the order, prompting the team to rely on other local and overseas options for their batting lineup.
The PSL 2025 season began yesterday, with defending champions Islamabad United cruising to victory against Lahore Qalandars. Two more matches are scheduled today.
Peshawar Zalmi will face Quetta Gladiators in the afternoon, while Karachi Kings will meet Multan Sultans in the evening clash, hoping to start their campaign on a positive note despite the early blow.
