Lahore Qalandars secured a five-wicket win over Multan Sultans in the 16th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday, moving up to second place in the standings.
Multan Sultans, after being asked to bat first, posted a strong total of 185 for three. Captain Mohammad Rizwan led from the front with an unbeaten 76 off 48 balls, striking six boundaries and three sixes. Kamran Ghulam also impressed, scoring 52 not out from 31 deliveries, including two fours and four sixes.
Lahore’s bowlers, however, managed to keep things under control, with Tom Curran, Haris, and Daryl Mitchell each picking up a wicket.
In response, Lahore chased down the 186-run target with six balls remaining. Daryl Mitchell was the standout performer, hitting 64 runs off just 38 balls, laced with four fours and four sixes. He found solid support from Sikandar Raza, who finished unbeaten on 40 from 21 balls.

The victory marked Lahore’s third win in six matches, lifting them to second place with six points and a net run rate of +0.543. They overtook Karachi Kings, who now slip to third.
Meanwhile, Multan Sultans continued to struggle, suffering their fifth defeat in six games. They remain at the bottom of the table with only two points and a poor net run rate of -1.562.
Islamabad United continued their unbeaten run, leading the table with 10 points from five matches. Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators sit in fourth and fifth places, respectively, with four points each.
