Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured a convincing seven-wicket win over Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Sunday during IPL 2025’s rivalry week, marking a sweet revenge after their earlier loss to the same team in Bengaluru. The match, held at Mullanpur Stadium in Chandigarh, saw Virat Kohli lead the chase with a calm and composed unbeaten 73 from 54 balls.

Kohli’s efforts, combined with Devdutt Padikkal’s fiery 61 off 35 balls, helped RCB chase down the 158-run target with ease. The pair’s 103-run partnership laid the foundation for the victory. Kohli’s innings also earned him a new IPL milestone — surpassing David Warner’s record for most 50-plus scores in the tournament. Kohli now holds 67 such scores, including 51 fifties and 6 centuries.

Beyond the cricketing action, a heartwarming moment off the field caught fans’ attention. After the game, PBKS co-owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta was seen interacting with Kohli on the ground. The two shared a light and friendly exchange, which soon became a trending topic on social media.

In videos that quickly circulated online, Kohli appeared to show Zinta pictures of his children, Vamika and Akaay, from his phone. Zinta was seen smiling warmly as she looked at the photos, offering a rare glimpse into the cricketer’s personal life. Kohli, married to actress Anushka Sharma, has largely kept his family life private.

Zinta, who is married to Gene Goodenough and has twins Gia and Jay, also seemed delighted during the exchange, highlighting the camaraderie between cricket and cinema’s most recognisable faces.

The match not only added crucial points for RCB but also gave fans memorable on-field and off-field moments, showcasing both Kohli’s cricketing class and his role as a proud father.
