New Zealand’s veteran batter Kane Williamson is expected to land in Lahore tonight to join Karachi Kings for the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10.

The experienced right-hander, who missed the opening matches due to his commentary role in the Indian Premier League (IPL), is now ready to link up with the squad. He is scheduled to begin training tomorrow and is likely to feature in Karachi Kings’ next match against Quetta Gladiators on April 25 at Gaddafi Stadium.

Williamson’s presence is seen as a significant boost for the team’s batting lineup, which has shown promise but still seeks consistency. Although this will be his first appearance in the PSL, the 34-year-old brings a wealth of experience in T20 cricket, having played 93 matches for New Zealand and scored over 2,500 runs at an average above 33.

Alongside his international career, Williamson has also been a part of major T20 leagues around the world, including the IPL, SA20, Vitality Blast, Caribbean Premier League, and Champions League T20. His adaptability in diverse playing conditions is expected to be valuable for Karachi’s playoff push.

In the meantime, Saad Baig, who had been included as cover in Williamson’s absence, will remain with the squad as an additional player.

Elsewhere, the franchise is monitoring the condition of pacer Adam Milne, who suffered a knee injury during a recent match against Lahore Qalandars. He was rested as a precaution, and an update on his availability is awaited.

Karachi Kings currently sit second on the PSL points table, with three victories in five matches. Their latest win came in a close contest against Peshawar Zalmi, where skipper David Warner scored a steady 60 off 47 balls, supported by Khushdil Shah’s unbeaten 23.

With Williamson joining and Milne’s status pending, the Kings face a key phase in their PSL campaign.
