Islamabad United has announced the signing of 21-year-old all-rounder Muhammad Shehzad for the upcoming PSL 2025 season, scheduled for April and May.

Shehzad has quickly gained a reputation as one of Pakistan’s most exciting young cricketers.

In the recently concluded President’s Trophy, he scored over 700 runs and took 20 wickets, showcasing his versatility as both a batsman and bowler.

The franchise’s decision to sign Shehzad highlights Islamabad United’s commitment to developing emerging domestic talent.

The team, known for providing young players with opportunities to grow, aims to offer a platform for Shehzad to gain valuable experience while competing alongside international stars and under expert coaching.

Head Coach Mike Hesson praised Shehzad’s all-round abilities, expressing excitement about his potential contribution to the team.

General Manager Rehan-ul-Haq emphasized that the club’s vision, which focuses on rewarding strong domestic performances, has helped nurture several players who later represented Pakistan.

The 10th edition of the HBL PSL kicks off on April 11, with Islamabad United facing Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi.
