Only a few Pakistani players have scored half-centuries in ICC knockout matches, and Imran Khan stands out for doing it more than once.

The former captain produced two key innings on the biggest stages of the game of cricket. He scored 58 against Australia in the 1987 World Cup semi-final and followed it up with a match-defining 72 against England in the 1992 World Cup final, leading Pakistan to its first world title.

Aamer Sohail was the next to join the list, scoring 55 in the 1996 World Cup quarter-final against India. Although Pakistan lost, his aggressive batting remains a memorable highlight.

Babar Azam became the only player in this century to add his name to this record, scoring 53 against New Zealand in the 2022 T20 World Cup semi-final.
