Karachi Kings’ vice-captain Hasan Ali has urged fans to remain patient with Babar Azam, backing the batter to return to form despite recent struggles in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.
Speaking after Karachi’s defeat to Lahore Qalandars on Monday, Hasan addressed the growing criticism around Babar’s performances in PSL 10.
While many have questioned Babar’s form, the fast bowler dismissed the negative chatter and underlined the right-hander’s long-term value to Pakistan cricket.
Hasan said he still believed Babar was the country’s best batter and expected him to bounce back soon.

He also referred to earlier comments in which he had called Babar “the king,” saying his intentions were never to offend anyone.
Although he apologised to those who may have misunderstood his words, he made it clear that his faith in Babar remained unchanged.
Discussing Karachi Kings’ performance, Hasan acknowledged that the team’s top-order collapse had been a key reason behind their latest loss.
He noted that early wickets and lack of partnerships led to mounting pressure which they couldn’t overcome.
The 30-year-old also expressed concern over the culture of harsh online criticism faced by cricketers.

While he accepted that constructive feedback is part of the sport, he condemned personal attacks, especially those targeting players’ families.
He recalled similar incidents during Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand earlier this year, saying such behaviour deeply affects players off the field.
Hasan, who last represented Pakistan in May 2024, said he remained hopeful of making a return to the national side.
He added that his performances in the PSL would play a crucial role in shaping his future at the international level.
A member of Pakistan’s 2017 Champions Trophy-winning squad, Hasan continues to be an active voice in domestic cricket and a strong supporter of his fellow teammates.
