FIFA has lifted the suspension on the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) following the approval of constitutional amendments.

The suspension was revoked after the PFF passed the amendments during an Extraordinary Congress held in Lahore last week.

Shahid Khokhar, a member of the PFF Normalisation Committee, confirmed the development and expressed gratitude to both FIFA and the AFC for their continued support.

Khokhar stated that the suspension ended once the amendments were approved in the PFF Congress meeting.

During the Congress, members agreed that accepting FIFA’s proposed amendments was in Pakistan’s best interest, as it would likely lead to the removal of the ban.

FIFA had previously made it clear that the suspension would only be lifted if the PFF Congress approved the constitution as presented by FIFA and the AFC.

With the ban now lifted, the national football team could potentially compete in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers, set to begin next month.

The AFC had previously warned that if the suspension was not lifted by March 4, the Pakistan men’s national team would be considered withdrawn from the competition.
