As India pulled off a dramatic draw on the fifth day of the Test match, a separate off-field incident caught the attention of media and fans alike. A cricket supporter wearing a traditional green Pakistan jersey was confronted by security officials and asked to remove it.

The situation unfolded when a security guard, reportedly of Indian origin, approached the fan during the match and requested the removal of the jersey. The fan declined the request, arguing that no spectators around him seemed to have any issue with his outfit.

As tensions rose, more security staff were brought in. Eventually, local police arrived and escorted the individual out of the stadium. After a short conversation outside, the fan was released and allowed to leave the venue.

The episode has sparked debate across social and traditional media, especially considering the current fragile ties between India and Pakistan. Some viewed the incident as a minor security protocol, while others labelled it an overreaction that could fuel unnecessary controversy.

Cricket followers recalled earlier incidents where political disputes between the two nations led to the cancellation of major games. In this context, the treatment of a fan wearing the rival team’s shirt is seen by some as reflective of deeper tensions.
