Cricket Australia embraced the festive spirit of Holi by organizing a special 2023 ICC World Cup trophy tour across Melbourne on March 14.

The initiative gave fans the chance to take pictures with the prestigious trophy while celebrating the vibrant festival.

To enhance the occasion, Cricket Australia distributed exclusive merchandise from the Big Bash League (BBL) and Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), including players’ hats.

The event highlighted the board’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity, strengthening cricket’s connection with multicultural communities.

The 2023 ICC World Cup remains a significant achievement for Australia, as Pat Cummins led the team to its sixth title.

In the final against hosts India, Australian bowlers put up a disciplined performance, restricting the opposition to 240 runs.

Mitchell Starc played a key role with three wickets, while Josh Hazlewood and Cummins contributed with two each.

In response, Travis Head’s remarkable 137 off 120 balls ensured a comfortable victory.

Supported by Marnus Labuschagne’s unbeaten 58, Australia clinched the title with seven overs to spare.

Cricket Australia’s Holi celebration reinforced the sport’s ability to unite diverse communities, making the festival even more memorable for fans.
