Former England batter Alex Hales has rejoined Islamabad United for the final stages of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, set to resume on May 17 in Rawalpindi.

The franchise confirmed the news on Wednesday through its official social media channels, welcoming the experienced opener back into the squad. Hales, who has been a regular part of Islamabad United in recent seasons, described the team as close to his heart and expressed his excitement about returning to Pakistan.

The 35-year-old acknowledged that changes in the PSL schedule required him to adjust some prior commitments but added that he was eager to contribute to the team’s campaign for another title.

Islamabad United, currently placed third in the points table with 10 points from nine matches, are in contention for a playoff spot. They face Karachi Kings on May 19 in what could be a decisive league-stage fixture at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Hales’ return is expected to boost United’s top-order strength as they look to secure their fourth PSL title. The England international has been a key figure in previous campaigns and brings valuable experience to the squad during a crucial phase of the tournament.
