The German Consulate General in Karachi has announced a temporary closure from July 8 to July 11, 2025, citing operational reasons. The announcement was made through an official public notice, in which the consulate informed that all visa appointments scheduled during these four days would be rescheduled.

Despite the short-term closure, the consulate clarified that the passport collection service would continue without interruption, allowing applicants to collect their processed documents as usual.

Germany continues to be a preferred destination for many Pakistanis, especially students, professionals, and tourists. The German consular services in Pakistan are offered through offices in Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore, which cater to a wide range of visa categories including education, employment, tourism, and business.

Due to increasing demand, visa seekers are often advised to schedule appointments well in advance and closely follow updates from the relevant consular offices. The consulate stated that this temporary suspension of regular operations is part of efforts to improve service efficiency and maintain high standards of application processing.

Those affected by the rescheduling of appointments are encouraged to stay informed via the consulate’s official website or helpline.
