Maschler, whose Facebook account under the name “Matthew H. Maschler” and the custom URL Facebook.com/MatthewM has been active for over 2 decades, says the sudden loss has erased years of personal memories, professional milestones, and community engagement.
Matthew H. Maschler said “My Facebook account represents my life – my family milestones, memories of life events, the many communities, groups and pages I’ve built. Please help me recover it before all that history is gone.”
“My Facebook account represents my life – my family milestones, memories of special life events, and the many communities, groups and pages I’ve built,” said Maschler. “I’ve always followed Facebook’s community standards, so I truly believe this was a mistake. I’m asking Meta to please help me recover it before all of that history is gone.”
Maschler is the founder of Signature Real Estate Finder, LLC (http://realestatefinder.com) and Boca Raton Championship Wrestling (http://bocaratonwrestling.com), two organizations with active Facebook pages and groups that he helps manage. His account is linked to multiple community, charity and business pages ___? on his administrative access.
He has contacted Facebook Support to no avail – and is now appealing publicly in hopes
that the platform’s Trust and Safety team will take notice.
“This isn’t just about losing a login,” Maschler added. “It’s about losing connections, messages, and photos that tell the story of my life and my community.”
Maschler was even Meta verified, paying hundreds of dollars in fees, but that was of no use. He urges anyone with media or Meta contacts to help bring attention to his case using the hashtag #RestoreMatthewMaschler.
