The alert was issued following instructions from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. In response, all relevant departments—like education, health, irrigation, communication, and livestock—have been asked to stay on high alert. Emergency services like WASA, the police, and Civil Defense have also been told to stay prepared.

People are strongly advised to stay indoors during the storms and avoid open areas to stay safe from lightning. If you face any emergencies, you can call the PDMA helpline at 1129.

PDMA KP has advised local authorities to be ready and ensure all emergency response plans are in place to manage any situation effectively.
