Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced it will boycott National Assembly sessions to protest what it calls unfair treatment of its lawmakers. PTI chairman Barrister Gohar said authorities have disqualified legislators, stripped them of their seats, and silenced their voices. He added that despite attending sessions to raise demands democratically, the party is not allowed to speak.

The PTI parliamentary party met at Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa House and endorsed instructions from the party founder. Gohar said the decision to boycott the Assembly comes after repeated attempts to participate in democratic processes without success.
Former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser urged the federal government to support flood victims in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. He said the K-P government is working for the flood-hit people and will also appeal for aid from the United Nations.
K-P Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur reported severe damage from floods in Buner, Shangla, Swabi, and Swat. He said 490 people have died due to floods, with many homes destroyed.

Rescue operations saved residents within 24 hours, and financial compensation is being distributed, including Rs2 million for families of the deceased and Rs1 million for completely destroyed homes. Gandapur added that while aid is helpful, rebuilding homes remains a major challenge.
