A horrific case of violence has emerged from Pabbi tehsil in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Nowshera district, where an eight-month pregnant woman was reportedly burned alive. Authorities have launched a detailed investigation into what they describe as a deeply disturbing incident.

According to police reports, the woman had gone missing a day earlier under unclear circumstances. Later inquiries suggested that she was taken from her home by her sister-in-law, who claimed they were heading to visit a doctor.

The body of the missing woman was discovered in the Babu Khwar area near Muslim Town. It had been severely burned. Police later confirmed the identity of the victim, matching her to the pregnant woman who had disappeared.

Officials stated that the body has been shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination to determine further details about the cause of death and the exact nature of injuries.

The sister-in-law, believed to have played a central role in the incident, has been taken into custody. Law enforcement said investigations are ongoing and efforts are being made to locate and arrest any other suspects who may have been involved.
