A fire erupted late Tuesday night at a private cargo shed near Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport. Emergency teams acted swiftly to contain the blaze, and no casualties were reported.

The Pakistan Airports Authority stated that the fire broke out approximately one kilometre from the airport’s apron area, ensuring that flight operations remained unaffected.

Rescue 1122 teams, along with fire engines from the Pakistan Air Force, were immediately dispatched to the scene. The affected area was quickly cordoned off to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby facilities.

Senior airport officials, including the airport manager and chief operating officer, were present during the operation to oversee emergency measures. Authorities later confirmed that all flights continued as scheduled and passenger services remained uninterrupted.

Though the cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, an inquiry has been launched to investigate the incident. The cargo shed reportedly stored commercial goods, but the extent of the damage is still being assessed.
