The National Highway Authority (NHA) has increased the motorway toll for the Lahore-Islamabad M2 route. The new toll rates will apply from August 26, 2025, and remain valid until August 25, 2026.

This increase comes under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) agreement with the Frontier Works Organization’s subsidiary, Motorway Operations and Rehabilitation Engineering (Private) Limited. As per the agreement signed in 2014, toll charges rise by 10% every year to cover maintenance and operational costs of the country’s busiest motorway.
