“This visit has been fruitful on all fronts. We made it clear that peace in the region is impossible without negotiations,” said Dar.

Responding to questions about Pakistan’s participation in the UN conference on the two-state solution, Dar said:

“I made a strong statement on behalf of Pakistan. We support the two-state solution and demand an end to Israel’s occupation of Palestinian land. Pakistan has no plan to recognize Israel.”

When asked about Kashmir, the Deputy PM emphasized that during Pakistan’s presidency at the UN Security Council, the Kashmir issue was raised alongside Palestine on all relevant platforms.

“We’ve ensured that Kashmir remains on the global agenda,” he said.

Speaking on water disputes with India, Dar warned that India cannot unilaterally revoke the Indus Waters Treaty.

“We have rights over three rivers. Any diversion of water will not be accepted. We won’t give up even a drop. Pakistan’s position in the international arbitration court is strong,” he asserted.

Dar acknowledged that the Pakistan Army under General Asim Munir is committed to peace, but said the country remains alert due to India’s provocative statements.

When asked about PTI founder Imran Khan, he remarked:

“If you take up arms, the law will take its course. His cases are a matter for the judiciary.”

Dar reported holding eight bilateral meetings during the UN session with leaders from Saudi Arabia, the UK, Bangladesh, Kuwait, and Palestine. He also referred to positive outcomes from his engagements with the US, especially on trade and tariff discussions, where agreements are expected soon.

Dar stressed that Pakistan maintains strong, friendly ties with China, and longstanding relations with the US as well.
He clarified the mineral policy, stating:

“Mineral revenues will be split 50/50 between the federal and provincial governments. Any mining operation will be formalized, ensuring employment for locals and fair economic returns.”
