This minor adjustment in petrol price comes as part of the government’s regular fortnightly fuel price review, driven by global oil trends and domestic pricing mechanisms.
Current Fuel Prices (Effective June 1):
-
Petrol: Rs253.63/litre (↑ Rs1)
-
High-Speed Diesel: Rs254.64/litre (No change)
Previously, on May 15, the government had kept petrol prices unchanged at Rs252.63/litre and slightly reduced diesel prices by Rs2/litre.
The next price revision is expected on June 15, depending on international oil markets and the rupee-dollar exchange rate.
