A major step in healthcare innovation was announced at the World Health Expo (WHX) Dubai 2026, where Boston Health AI partnered with Emirates Health Services (EHS) to introduce “Amal” the UAE’s first clinical intelligence platform.
The launch took place during the global healthcare event in Dubai, which attracted more than 400,000 visitors. Representatives from over 40 countries visited the Boston Health AI booth at the EHS pavilion. Many showed strong interest in Amal and the advanced system behind it.
Amal is an AI-powered physician assistant now deployed in the UAE’s public healthcare system. The system conducts detailed medical interviews with patients before they meet their doctor. It collects information about symptoms, medical history, medicines, allergies, and other health details. Patients can interact with the system in Arabic, English, or Urdu.
The collected information is then organized into clear medical summaries. This allows doctors to begin consultations with complete background knowledge about the patient. The goal is to save time and improve decision making.
The company was founded by Dr Adil Haider, a Pakistani-American surgeon and global health leader. Dr Haider has served in important academic roles, including Dean of Aga Khan University Medical College. He has also held senior faculty positions at Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins University. Currently, he serves as the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
The platform helps reduce the heavy documentation workload faced by doctors worldwide. By improving workflow and preparing accurate records before appointments, Amal aims to improve both patient care and doctor satisfaction.
Although Amal has now launched in the UAE, its early development and testing began in Pakistan, marking an important achievement for regional innovation in healthcare technology.
