Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz recently paid a visit to the residence of the late Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali Shaheed in Chaklala, Rawalpindi, to honor his supreme sacrifice for the nation. Lt. Col. Syed Kashif Ali Shaheed tragically lost his life in a terrorist attack in Mir Ali Tehsil of North Waziristan. During her visit, Maryam Nawaz expressed heartfelt condolences to the Shaheed’s mother, acknowledging the immense pride and honor brought by her son’s bravery not only to her but to the entire nation.

In a touching moment, the Chief Minister emphasized the invaluable role played by the courageous sons of the soil in safeguarding the nation’s safety, peace, and security, referring to them as the iron wall of defense. She reiterated the nation’s enduring gratitude and indebtedness for the sacrifices made by the martyrs and their families, recognizing their profound contributions to the country.

Maryam Nawaz also offered prayers and condolences for the Shaheed, underscoring the significance of honoring and remembering those who have given their lives in service to the nation. Additionally, she visited the residence of Captain Ahmed Badar Shaheed, where she met with the Shaheed’s parents and family members to extend her sympathies and support during this difficult time.

The visit by the Punjab Chief Minister symbolizes a deep respect for the sacrifices made by the brave individuals who have laid down their lives for the country’s security and well-being. It serves as a poignant reminder of the selfless dedication and valor exhibited by these heroes in protecting the nation and its people.
