President Asif Ali Zardari has issued a stern warning to those perpetrating acts of terrorism within the country, emphasizing that a strong response will be meted out regardless of the perpetrators’ identities. Speaking at the funeral prayers of Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali and Captain Muhammad Ahmed Bader, who were among the soldiers martyred in a recent terrorist attack in North Waziristan, President Zardari vowed that the sacrifices made by these brave individuals in defense of the nation will not be forgotten.

The attack, which resulted in the tragic loss of these officers and five other soldiers, unfolded when a group of terrorists targeted a security forces’ post in Mir Ali. Despite the assailants’ attempts to breach the post, Pakistani troops valiantly defended their position. Tragically, the terrorists resorted to a suicide bombing campaign, causing a building to collapse and leading to the martyrdom of the soldiers.

President Zardari commended the Pakistan Army for its unwavering commitment to combating terrorism and highlighted the exceptional professionalism and loyalty displayed by the armed forces in the face of such threats. He underscored the nation’s solidarity with the military and praised the gallant sons of the soil who have consistently demonstrated their readiness to make the ultimate sacrifice for the country’s defense.

The fallen soldiers, including Havildar Sabir, Naik Khurshid, Sepoy Nasir, Sepoy Raja, and Sepoy Sajjad, hailed from various districts across Pakistan. Their bodies will be laid to rest in their respective hometowns with full military honors, honoring their service and sacrifice.

In the wake of this tragic incident, the nation mourns the loss of these brave soldiers and stands united in support of the armed forces efforts to safeguard the country against terrorism.
